Daybreak Bike Ride #2 Kyoto, Wazuka

In Wazuka, a tea town in the Kyoto region, I explored the landscape by bicycle in the earliest hours of the morning. This original painting is inspired by that ride, capturing vivid day glow pink bridges against the soft sunburst hues of dawn. The bridges were not day glow pink. But … my mood was! 

Created with acrylic, gesso, enamel, ink and collage, on wood. The piece reflects the energy and freshness of an early morning cycling adventure.
