In Wazuka, a tea town in the Kyoto region, I explored the landscape by bicycle in the earliest hours of the morning. This original painting is from a series inspired by that ride, capturing vivid day glow pink bridges against the soft sunburst hues of dawn. The bridges were not day glow pink. But … my mood was!
Created with acrylic, gesso, enamel, ink and collage, on wood. The piece reflects the energy and freshness of an early morning cycling adventure.
