Tephra

At Shiroyama Volcano, a cloud moved so slowly it felt suspended in time. It was quiet, mesmeric, and unhurried. I watched it for a few hours. 

Tephra is an original A4 painting inspired from that moment. Soft layers of blue ink and pale sky tones in acrylic and atomised paint (AKA spray can) that drift across the surface, capturing stillness, movement, and a sense of place. 

A calm, considered piece that brings a sense of distance and quiet into a space.
