Co Down Coast. 

Inspired by Co Down coast trips. Built through layers of acrylic, gesso on stretched canvas, the painting balances the sea and sky. Water, sunsets and the coastline. A vibrant pink inner edge of the floating frame adds an unexpected flash of colour at an angle. The work continues ideas explored during a 2025 trip to Kagoshima, Japan, where distant volcanic islands echoed the relationship between land and sea found on the NI coastline.
