Tephra

At Shiroyama Volcano, a cloud moved so slowly it felt suspended in time. It was quiet, mesmeric, and unhurried. I watched it for a few hours. 

Tephra is a print taken from Oscars painting inspired from that moment. Soft layers of blue ink and pale sky tones in acrylic and atomised paint. (spray can!) that drift across the surface, capturing stillness, movement, and a sense of place. 

A calm, considered piece that brings a sense of distance and quiet into a space.
